Baby gear is expensive. From the crib, car seat, stroller to all the optional items you can buy. You don’t have to spend a lot on all these items, but they do add up. Today I wanted to share some tips on how you can save some extra cash
Gift Registry Completion
When you create your baby shower gift registry choose a retailer that offers a registry completion discount.
Other things to note: pick a store that is easy for your guests to shop or offers a low threshold for free shipping.
Group all big purchases together
Why? Because you can potentially negotiate yourself a better price. You can try to ask a few stores, give them an idea of what you’re planning to purchase and if they can offer you a decent deal – you can purchase everything from them today. All store managers have sale quotas they need to meet. If you’re not having a lot of luck, try mom & pop stores
Cash Back Credit Card
I think this is something that is easily overlooked. There are many credit cards on the market that allow you to collect cash back on all eligible purchases.
- 1-2% back on all purchases
- Extended warranty
Last year’s model
Depending on timing, if you can hold out until Feb/March, you’ll notice a lot of baby gear starts to go on sale in preparation new models starting to release.
Those are just a few tips to get you started. If possible, try to purchase your essential items first and buy everything else as you find the need for them.
